The P&F supports the school in the provision of pastoral care via practical help when things may be challenging for families.

Unexpected life events such as illness, a death in the family, accidents or other life stresses can create pressure for families. The Pastoral Care committee helps confidentially and discretely with coordinating assistance in practical ways to help keep a family functioning during a crisis. Some ways of helping could include coordinating:

• A food bank of ready-to-eat meals

• Picking up groceries or shopping

• Providing transport for students to/from school

​

Help is tailored to the needs of that family and the privacy of families is respected at all times e.g. meals can be left in an esky at the front door.
